The practical exam involves testing four different types of backflow prevention assemblies, including reduced pressure principle backflow prevention assembly, double check backflow prevention assembly, pressure vacuum breaker assembly, and spill-resistant vacuum breaker assembly. Per ASSE standards, the candidate must test all four assemblies in a single, uninterrupted 1 ½ hour session.
